Grand Junction, Colo. —The Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado and the Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial Park will present the annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
On Monday, November 11, 2019, at 11:11 a.m., Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States will be honored at a ceremony at the Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial Park. The Park is located at the Colorado Welcome Center in Fruita, CO, just off Interstate 70 at the Fruita exit.
The program will feature performances by Jessica Olsen, DEERS operator, Division of Veterans Affairs, Grand Junctions local Loose Cannon Band, Sean Taylor & the Glenfinnan Highlanders; the Walker children will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. The keynote speech will be given by SGT Kayla Holst, USMC, Director of Commination at the VA Healthcare system, and Deacon Doug VanHouten, USMC, will deliver the invocation and benediction.
The ceremony is open to the public. Parking is available at the Park and attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating to this event, which is expected to last an hour.
