The Citizen Soldier for Life program prepares and connects Service Members with financial and employment services in an effort to enhance readiness and boost resilience.

Eligibility: The program offers services to all Army National Guard, Reserve Members, and their Families who may be seeking civilian employment.


Colorado Construction Careers

Colorado Construction Careers works with 14 apprenticeship trades in the construction Industry. These are an earn while you learn program. Apprentices work full time while going to classes to learn their trade.

Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Driver’s License, and a High School Diploma or GED.


Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR)




Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense program that develops and promotes supportive work environments for Service Members in the Reserve Components through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws and resolves employment conflicts between the Service Members and their employers.

Eligibility: All employers, all uniformed Service Members, and Families of affected Service Members.


Employment Support Program



Assists CO National Guard Service Members obtain employment. Services include translation of military skills into civilian skills, online marketing assistance, resume review and building strategies, and Federal job application assistance.

Eligibility: Member of the CO National Guard or eligible dependent.

Project: Return to Work Inc. (R2W), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1998, provides personalized employment services to Veterans, their Spouses, and Americans with disabilities.

Eligibility: Veterans (any), their Spouses, and disabled Americans.





This nonprofit attempts to bridge the gap between the demand for trained and deployable communication infrastructure technicians and the thousands of qualified service men and women eager to transfer the skills they’ve learning in the military. Provides training, advanced certification, and transitional support, giving Veterans the building blocks they need for an exciting and fulfilling career in this rapidly growing industry. Ultimately, Warriors4Wireless seeks to place qualified Veterans into open job positions.

Eligibility: Currently or previously served in the military.


Warriors to Work®

Warriors to Work®, a Veteran employment program, provides career guidance and support services to Wounded Warriors, their Families, and caregivers interested in transitioning to the civilian workforce. Skills and experience are matched to the needs of hiring managers. These services are also open if registered with Family Support.

Eligibility: Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) serves Veterans and Service Members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001.


Workforce Centers


Workforce Centers provide a variety of free services to assist employers and job seekers. These include job listings, computer and internet access, and career counseling and training. Veterans receive additional support with their job search.

Eligibility: Anyone can utilize the services at county Workforce Centers. Veterans receive priority of service in all federally funded programs at the workforce center. If applicable, in order to qualify for the Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP), the Veteran must first meet with an employment specialist at the workforce center. If appropriate, the Veteran will be given a referral to the DVOP to receive intensive services for Veterans with significant barriers to employment.
