VA GRECC-Connect is pleased to announce the release of a new website which offers a curated compendium of resources to assist families and caregivers of persons with dementia.

GRECC-Connect, funded by the VA Office of Rural Health, aims to support rural veterans and clinicians by providing specialized knowledge and skills to care for older adults through virtual offerings such as video telehealth, eConsults, education teleconferences etc. A GRECC-Connect team of interdisciplinary geriatric specialists reviewed over 100 online dementia resources and selected the best options available to assist and support people with dementia and their families. They took care in choosing the most informative and easy to use resources in varied formats (booklet, brochure, video etc.) that were nationally available for viewing online. The resources are organized by topic and many can be printed directly from the pdf or shared via direct link in an email or chat.

All clinical staff who support patients with dementia as well as patients and families themselves will benefit from this resource.  Feel free to bookmark the page for future use and/or dissemination!
